During the 2013-14 academic year, Program on U.S.-Japan Relations (Weatherhead Center for International Affairs) at Harvard University will offer postdoctoral fellowships for social scientists in a broad range of fields, including anthropology, economics, education, history, law, political science, public health, public policy, and sociology.
Projects that focus on Japan or Japan’s international role from a comparative, historical, or global perspective are welcome.
The postdoctoral fellow teaches one course in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
A knowledge of the Japanese language is not required.
The annual stipend is $50,000, disbursed over 10 months.
The application deadline is January 15, 2013; and recipients must hold a doctoral degree by August 1, 2013.
